I suspect you are mad pretty much most of the time. Hostility seems to be your default response.

While it was rude and unprofessional of the manager, it could be understandable. What this driver did could have been very dangerous.

That might have been unnerving for the manager. Does this driver not realize what he did?

Did his car not have a horn? Perhaps unacceptable behavior from the manager, downright dangerous,*** behavior from the customer!

Guest

If you saw the pump was still connected, why did you drive forward. You are dumber than a bag of hammers if you don't think being yelled at by the attendant was justified.

Swifty Gas Station - Rude Attendant Review from Morrow, Ohio

Told attendant I wanted $10, gave him money. Proceeded to pump, then ck oil. Noticed attendant was watching me peculiarly. I asked if there was a problem. He told me the pump was over. I turned off pump myself nearly $5 over and asked him why it didnt stop. He explained to me that `everyone knows the pumps dont stop. I disagreed and asked where the sign was explaining this. He tried to tell me i knew and blame me. He further tried to tell me I was a regular customer, which i was not, and continued to make it my fault. At this point, I told him he was a liar and a scam artist. I also explained that made him crooked. He didnt understand, so i reexplained calling him a thief instead as I paid him the remaining balance. He told me not to come back. I told him I work hard for my money and I wasn't going to come back either way cos I didnt want to get ripped off again.

Manager made a mess!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Stopped at Swifty in Decatur, Indiana on my way home from work this morning. The attendant, Bruce Nestor, who is also the manager, pumped the gas for me. He was so busy talking that he wasn't careful and slopped gas all down the side of my truck. He didn't even have the courtesy to wipe it off. Ended up having to go to a car wash to clean off my truck - after I had just worked a double shift (16 hours), was tired and just wanted to go home. AND THAT IS WHY I SELDOM BUY GAS AT SWIFTY!

Overtime Job Review

I have a friend that works in the Jeffersonville, IN location. He works 70 hours a week 7 days a week. He told me had been doing this for months. I am quite sure this is against some labor laws. Overtime is good but these people are humans with families and kids. Swifty's you need to do better and hire more people ASAP.

Service Station Review

I have been going to Swifty gas stations since i was a little girl. My Grandpa use to work at the one in Marysville, OH. I was passing through Delaware, OH one day and it had apperently changed hands in managment. Ive alway know them tobe a FULL service station. The foriegner working told my husband and I that if we wanted him to pump the gas he HAD to charge an extra $1.00. Since when do yall charge to pump it now?? Is that not what the attendants get paid to do??

Manager rudeness

On 5/28/14 my80y/o husband was on his wayto park to walk dog when he had cartrouble and pulled into Swifty station .Asked mgr. to jump start truck as he hadcables in truck but mgr.refused to help. He and dog had to wait in heat for 30 minutes until I could arrive to get car started. I had to purchase gas which he pumped and when I started to pay with credit card hetold me he couldnt accept cc although sign said cc or cash.I didnt have enough cash and had to drive 5 miles to bank to get money to pay. I feel this was terrible customer sevice and lack of human compassion. This incident occured in Shelbyville,Ky at only Swifty station intown.Iwould appreciate response or I will describe incident in local paper.Ola Pollard. 502-722-****. email o.pollard012@***.com. thank you.

So, I don't think you realize, but there are signs posted on the pumps that state clearly that all card purchases require the card to be inserted before pumping. Swifty doesn't have the equipment and capability to run cards after the pump is running.

As to not assisting your husband, Swifty policy firmly prohibits employees from jumping cars off, airing tires, checking oil, cleaning windows, or any other activity that isn't pumping your gas, on pain of termination. So what you claim to be rude and lack of compassion is an employee who doesn't want to endanger their livelihood for the sake of one person with bad luck.

Hopefully this will be a good lesson to ask questions and read all of the posted signs before you start making a *** of yourself. :)

Freezing cold weather

All swifty stations in columbus indiana are open on these freezing cold days. the temps have been -30 with windchill. even under a wind chill warning. how the *** can a place stay open and make your employees work outside in this weather. they are so froze their body hurts and if anyhhing major happens to them im sure swifty wont pay the doctor bills and i hope there will be a law suit against swifty. all they worried about is their money.... not the employees. what would you do if they froze to DEATH..... you really need to shut down the stations on days like these. those poor workers deserve so much better and all this for only $8 hour.... its not worth risking their lives

Thank you so much for bringing this to someone's attention. I feel abandoned on those days.

I wore a stop watch to track exposure but it quit working from the cold. One person running the station, no breaks, with nothing but disrespect from my clientele.

I'm so glad to hear that you know of my hardships. Tomorrow when I'm enduring it all over again, I will relish in the fact that it meant enough for you to say something.

Guest

I am a Swifty employee and I'll tell you what, dealing with -45*F wind chills will kill you if you are not properly prepared. But there is no "Swifty regulation gear" so if you don't want to get hurt by the cold then get ready to drop money on thermal gear, coveralls, ect.

I bought a pair of goggles out of my own skimpy check because your corneas will freeze at those temperatures. And as of 30 minutes ago I paid a man out of my own money to plow the foot of snow off of our lot because I'm tired of seeing people almost wreck and get stuck on the drifts.

I have hurt myself from pumping too many people at once in these temperatures. But I am guilty of letting it happen.

Next time people will have to wait until I regain feeling in my hands. I try to run this station like the gem it is but I am simply not getting enough in return.

Guest

Gee, what about the poor people who have no choice but to deliver home heating gas and oil or the firefighters who have to go out, should we let the homes run out of heat and the buildings burn to the ground? Of course if the fuel stations are closed none of this can take place.

Guest

Nobody working at a gas station is outside long enough, at any one time to freeze to death. If they had been closed and you wanted to go there to get gas or something you would be complaining about that too.

Where I live it was -20 degrees plus whatever windchill there was, so I don't know what it ended up being, but it was darn cold.

Therefore, that makes your -30 with windchill look like a walk in the park. The people that apply for jobs in a gas station know they will have to be working outside in all kinds of weather.

BAD GAS HELP

At ten o clock on 01/16/14 I got 7$ of gas at the swifty as n muncie on madison the attending manager pumped it for me.as soon as I left I didn't even get a block away and I noticed my truck began to putter and skip it was the first time I have had this happen to my truck. I had to take my daughter to school so I had to deal with it when I returned back home. I stopped at Swiftys to talk to the manager about this problem and he said he has no responsibility for my problem that he sticks his tanks once a week and that there was nothing he could do. he got extremely rude and told me to shut up and stop interrupting him.I told him he was rude and lucky I didn't tell everyone that I had just gotten bad gas, because he told me I was causing others to have to wait he didn't have time to deal with me.I asked who the manager was he told me to look up the number if. I had a complaint.he then walked away.I left. the premises at. that time.

Mgr is short with dark hair... also steals and smells like a bar when she gets near you.... both are very rude and crude to everyone...decent people always leave after a few weeks or they get fired for nothing mgr and head cashier make up lies to fire decent people.

Pulled into gas station no one was walking around so I walked up to door. Employee comes barging out cursing over and and over again . He said to me cant a *** use the bathroom , can you wait a *** a minute etc.... Used the F word about 10 times in a minute . No one who is just pulling up to get gas should be treated like that . That's ridiculous that an employee can speak around / too consumers like that. I have spent thousands of dollars at swifty I'm am extremely disappointed you will not receive my business any longer .

False Advertising and RUDE customer service

I went to Swifty Gas for the first time tonight because their price was much lower than everywhere else around. I pulled in, and of course there were lots of cars waiting. That was to be expected. I waited about 10 minutes, and was finally able to pull up to a pump. Once I did, the price was 14 cents higher than what was advertised on the board. I saw a guy walking around, so I asked him about the price. He said the pump I was at was different. When I asked why, he told me it was full service. No one was pumping my gas or servicing my car in any way shape of form. This man was the first and only employee I spoke with, and he did not offer to pump my gas either. I made a comment about this and said that I would like to get the advertised price since I am pumping my own gas. He told me that I would have to go to a different pump. I pointed out that I had already been waiting more than 10 minutes, and that there was no way for me to even get to another pump because the parking lot was so full. He merely shrugged and walked away. No apology, no nothing. He clearly did not care one bit about helping me. I work in customer service and was horrified by this complete and utter lack of service. I will never go back to Swifty and will be sure to tell everyone I know not to go there either.

ya know what lady! you merely should think of the situation.

its your first time at a gas station, the line you pulled into was full service which meant he pumps your gas for you, if you would have paid any attention everyone was at the other "island" and was pumping there own gas, yes he might of been a little rude but he was also probably helping another customer really fast, self service side is priority, he was going to be with you, all you had to do was sit in your car and wait for him to come to you, sorry you didnt look above your head at the big signs hanging off the beamposts, next time you should check that out and quit being such a *** and try and understand the night he is having.

been there still doin it. btw which one did you go into?

Station on Madison Pike in Latonia,Ky

Was wondering why all of a sudden went to get gas. It was closed and boarded up. Are you planning on reopening it? There are no signs posted at the station saying what happened,or why it has closed. That station has been a Swifty Gas,for more years than I can count. I have been buying gas there for over 40 years. I always made a point to fill my tank there. The prices were always fair, and I felt it was my responsibility to help out the small gas companies, against the big boys.I am shocked. This happened overnight it seems.
